Due to overwhelming demand, we are pleased to announce this new, experimental 0.3mm nozzle for the MK6 and MK6+ Stepstruders!
Just like our other nozzles,this is precision-machined and then individually coated in high-grade Teflon, which prevents your hot, extruded plastic from sticking to the side of the nozzle. The new nozzle geometry is designed to reduce the buildup of pressure inside the extruder barrel, reducing ooze that can gum up details on your builds.
But there's one big difference: a 0.3mm opening, the smallest we've ever offered. This is a nozzle for hot-rodders and bleeding-edge-dwellers: this isn't a nozzle for the faint of heart. This is experimental after all -- that means that you'll be running a greater chance of clogging your nozzle than with the tried-and-true stock 0.4mm nozzle. It also requires a stepper-based extruder, like our Stepstruder® MK6+. If that worries you, just keep your stock nozzle! But if that's the sort of sentence you see as a call to action, then this is the nozzle for you.
Again: this is an experimental product which is intended for advanced users who are comfortable with manually adjusting Skeinforge settings. It will require a stepper-based extruder. It may work with Print-O-Matic, but there are no guarantees, and we won't be accepting returns after these nozzles have been installed in a bot. If you're looking for a replacement of your original nozzle, we recommend our 0.4mm nozzle.
