These clear PTFE tubes are the low friction filament guides inside the steel MK5 Thermal Barrier. If you want to adapt your MakerBot® extruder to 1.75mm/1.8mm filament, these PTFE tubes are what you need.
It slides into the thermal barrier, and is cut to length. PTFE is resistant to heat and wear, so this tube will help you keep you extrusion flowing smoothly.
It's also completely constrained inside the stainless steel MK5 Thermal Barrier tube, so it's great for long builds where heat can build up over time. These PTFE CoreTubes can take it!
