Orange PLA (Polylactic Acid) is an extremely awesome polymer for many reasons. It's bio-friendly, as it's made from corn, which is a renewable resource. PLA is biodegradable, which means it will break down in a landfill. It has an extremely low shrinkage factor, which means it resists warping, even at very large print sizes. Please read our PLA tutorial page for more information on PLA and how to use it. This PLA 1.75mm/1.8mm MaketBot® PLA filament comes as a 1kg spool, in a sealed package with desiccant. 1KG = 2.204 lbs.
